of Latvian Academy  of Sport Education of Master and PhD students

“THEORY AND PRACTICE IN SPORT SCIENCE”

Place: Brivibas street 333, Riga, Latvian Academy  of Sport Education

Registration:

• With presentation - registration until March 20, 2014 submitting of abstracts in English (max. 250 words Word, Times New Roman 12pt), the abstract should consist of the following parts: authors, title, topicality, the aim of the research, methods, the main results and conclusion.

Conference languages:Latvian and English

Conference topics: 

• Pedagogy and Psychology in Sport 
• Theory and practice in sport
• Recreation
• Sports medical and biological aspects
• Sport management

Division in sections will be announced before the conference, depending on the amount of applications in each topic (sections could be merged if the amount of applications in one topic will be 3 or less).

 

Type and duration of presentation:

• Oral presentation – 15 min (10 min presentation, 5 min questions)*

Presentation material should be preparedin PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation or PowerPoint 97-2003 Show.

• Poster presentation (size 65 x 95 cm) – 8 min (5 min presentation, 3 min questions)*

*Chair persons of the sections will strictly stick to the duration of presentations.

 

 

Conference Programme:

8:15– 8:45 Arrival and registration, setting of  poster presentations

8:45– 9:45 Opening ceremony and plenary session (in Latvian)

9:45– 10:15 Coffee break

10:15- 12:15 Meeting in sections - oral presentations

12:15- 13:15 Meeting in sections - poster presentations

13:30 Closing ceremony and awarding of the best participants

 

Registration fees:

Till March 11, 2014 – 10 EUR

From March 12 till March 20, 2014 – 20 EUR

After March 20, 2014 applications will not be accepted!

Registration will be confirmed after receiving of the registration fee.

Registration fee includes: conference materials and coffee break.

 

Important deadlines: 

• Registering till March 11, 2014 the registration fee should be paid till March 14, 2014 otherwise the registration will be canceled.
• Registering from March 12 till March 20, 2014 the registration fee should be paid till March 24, 2014 otherwise the registration will be canceled.
