LASE SIGNES COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH LATVIAN SPORTS VETERAN-SENIOR ASSOCIATION

Today, February 5, LASE Rector Juris Grants and Ivans Klementjevs, president of the Latvian Sports Veterans-Senior Association, Olympic Champion in Canoeing signed a cooperation agreement to promote a physically active lifestyle in the whole lifespan and collaborate in research.

The agreement foresees increased cooperation in sport science research, directed towards the impact of physical activity on aging, as well as towards developing project applications for research on senior activities, in particular exploring the role of long-term aerobic exercise in improving the quality of senior life.

The parties also agreed to hold joint exhibitions and presentations to promote physical activity and competitions for sports veterans.

After signing the contract, Ivans Klementjevs opened a photo gallery of the LASE graduates, who have excelled in sports, featuring 24 individual athletes and sports team, devoted to Academy's 100th Anniversary in 2021 This is an excerpt from a project jointly created by the Sports Veteran-Senior Association and the Latvian Sports Museum, which brings together 100 photos and 170 personalities of outstanding all-time Latvian athletes and teams.
